Hello Substack Subscribers,
I want to give you all a special update about the launch of Blue Mala and what it means for my Substack, Letters from Lisa.
Let me start by saying, working with Substack has been great and I’m going to keep Letters from Lisa going.
In fact, your support and encouragement are a big reason why I’ve decided to expand beyond the weekly Letters from Lisa newsletter. I want to write more articles on mental health topics like anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also want to share more videos with tools for managing mental wellness; tools like yoga, meditation, and breathing techniques. Lastly, I want to make it easier for people to attend my online classes.
That’s why we created BlueMala.com. This new site is the home for all my articles and videos. There’s also a free weekly newsletter that recaps the latest content on the site. If you’d like to learn more, you can read more about the story behind Blue Mala and our mission.
In addition to all the free content, BlueMala.com also offers a paid membership. Monthly memberships are available on a pay what you can basis. Blue Mala Members have access to:
Live weekly yoga and meditation classes
Twice monthly live community chats
And, the same weekly Letter’s from Lisa email you’ve been receiving through Substack
For more details on all the benefits of Blue Mala membership check out this page.
So, what does this all mean for you? Below are some Frequently Asked Questions about our transition. If you have any additional questions, you can always email us.
FAQs
I have a paid subscription to Letters from Lisa through Substack. What should I do?
Thank you for subscribing! You don’t need to do anything if you don’t want to. You can continue to subscribe, and you’ll continue to get the same weekly Letters from Lisa email.
If you’d like to switch from Substak to Blue Mala, you can cancel your subscription on Substack and become a Blue Mala Member. For the same $5/month (or whatever you want to pay), you’ll get the same Letters from Lisa email through Blue Mala, plus all of the other member benefits (yoga class, meditation, and community chats).
Here’s how you do that:
To cancel your subscription, go to Letters from Lisa (substack.com), click the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner, then click “My Account” and you’ll see an option “To cancel your paid subscription.”
For step-by-step instructions on how to sign up for Blue Mala Membership, including how to choose your own price, click here.
We hope you’ll continue to pay $5/month, but the membership is “pay what you can,” so you’re free to pay less or more if you prefer.
