Metta Meditation
In this video, I teach you how to do a Metta Meditation practice, sometimes called Compassion Training or Loving Kindness. This is something you can use at any time to increase self-compassion, and compassion for others.
Here are the words I use:
May I be well
May I be safe
May I be happy
May I be healthy
May I live with peace
(I repeat this set three times)
And then I move on to use the same words for:
A loved one
A neutral person
A challenging person
The whole world
Repeating the set three times for each person.
And then I complete the practice by coming back to myself again.
You can do this in three minutes, ten minutes, twenty minutes - whatever works for you!
